Railway Lines

PNR Inter-Provincial Commuter

The PNR Inter-Provincial Commuter operates from Calamba (Laguna) to Lucena (Quezon).

There was a commuter railway that operated from Manila to Calamba, but that section closed down to allow for the construction of the North-South Corridor Railway.

Bicol Commuter

The Bicol Commuter refers to rail services in the Bicol Region (the southernmost region on the island of Luzon).

There were two sections operating until 2025:

Lupi Viejo – Naga

Naga – Legazpi

The Naga – Legazpi section is currently being repaired after being damaged by a typhoon in 2025. It was expected to reopen in early 2026, but it hasn’t restarted.

Bicol Commuter news

PNR partly resumes trips to Bicol – [01/12/25]

“The rehabilitation and repair works to restore the two daily trips between Legazpi City in Albay and Naga City in Camarines Sur would take at least three months, but those between Quezon and Camarines Sur have resumed, according to PNR General Manager Deovanni Miranda.”
